The Springfield vision can be summed up as working together- empowering learning.
From when the children start in Reception, they are encouraged to build positive relationships and learn how to resolve differences through talk. Every part of our school community is encouraged to work together – empowering learning: governors, parents, staff and children as collectively we all want the best for our school family.
Working together – Empowering Learning
Springfield was opened in 1969 as a community school for 4 – 9 year olds.
It is situated next to Daubeney Academy on Orchard Street in Kempston. The school building stands back, from the main road. Last year another classroom was added and we are in the planning stages of adding a further five classrooms.
At present there are thirteen classrooms, some small group rooms, a library and dining hall and kitchen. There are 345 children on roll. There is also a large playground and field in the grounds. The Reception unit have their own outdoor area and a sensory room.
